Norman solution ranked among the best of the antivirus products

The highly recognized antivirus researcher Andreas Marx of Av-Test.org has ranked Norman Virus Control among the top virus protection solutions. The test included all major antivirus vendors in the world.
In an annual round of testing to see how well various antivirus programs responded to recent outbreaks of viruses and worms, Norman Virus Control made some of the best results with an average respond time of between two and four hours. Marx measured how quickly the different antivirus products responded with updates enabling them to detect variants of the 16 largest Windows worms outbreaks of 2005, including Bagle, Bobax, Bropia, Fatso, Kelvir, MyDoom, Mytob, Sober and Wurmark.
- This is an important recognition of our technology and reaction time. The time between a specific malware is published until the proper signature file is ready is crucial and it is important that it is made as short as possible, says VP marketing development Audun Ldemel at Norman ASA.
The test are also emphasising that Norman has made a strong improvement since last year.
