In order to effectively use this software, the following system requirements apply:
- Windows 2000 Server, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Home or Professional, or Windows 2003 Server
- Microsoft Outlook 2000 or later
Note: Ontrack® PowerControls™ is designed to run on a Windows workstation and uses native Microsoft Messaging APIs (MAPI) to communicate to the Exchange Server, ensuring reliable and consistent operation of your server, and requires Outlook to be installed and configured with Exchange Server beforehand for MAPI to initialize properly.
Ontrack® PowerControls™ 4.2 has the ability to install and run Outlook directly on Exchange Server 2007. While Ontrack® PowerControls™ 4.2 is designed to run from a Windows workstation, Exchange Server 2007 installation configuration is supported. Ontrack® PowerControls™ 4.2 does not support other Exchange Server installation configurations.
Note: Ontrack® PowerControls™ supports Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, 2000, 2003 or 2007.
- Intel Pentium-class (or above) processor
- Required RAM: 256 MB Minimum
- 150 MB of free hard disk space for installation (more disk space will be needed for processing log files when opening an EDB file)
- Monitor with 800 x 600 or higher screen resolution
- Note: PowerControls supports Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, 2000, 2003 or 2007.
Ontrack® PowerControls™ contains EasyUpdate which allows you to automatically update Ontrack® PowerControls™ via the Internet. We recommend running EasyUpdate as soon as you install Ontrack® PowerControls™ in case there is an update that was not included with your version.
